About Charisse — The Heart and Humor Behind GenBetaMama

Hi, I’m Charisse Gershon, a Filipino millennial, first-time mama-to-be, and the voice behind GenBetaMama. At 36, and 29 weeks pregnant with our miracle Gen Beta boy, I’m sharing my beautifully real journey from the heart of the Philippines, side-by-side with my Israeli husband. We’re proof that two cultures, even with totally different traditions, can come together, balance each other out, and create something truly special.

Two Cultures, One Family, Infinite Love

Our home is a blend of Filipino warmth and Israeli resilience, laughter over differences, and teamwork that’s always evolving. He lifts me up when I’m down, and I ground us when things get overwhelming. Together, we believe our partnership can raise loving, spirited, and wildly creative kids. Kids who honor their roots and thrive in a global, Gen Beta world.

My Pregnancy, My Insight

Reality check: even with all the planning, I faced surprises. PCOS, infertility, gestational diabetes, and being an “older” new mom—all shaped my approach. Therapy, creativity, and mental strength became my secret weapons. My body’s unique responses and my mindset shifts are part of every story I share, with a wink of humor, and a whole lot of kindness.
